2. Overview
We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. The short version: we collect as little as possible, and your data stays on your device.
3. Desktop Application
3.1 Local Data
All project configurations, settings, notes, and workspace data are stored locally on your device. We have no access to this data. The Software contains zero telemetry and zero analytics.
3.2 License Validation
When you activate a license, the Software sends your license key to our server to verify its validity. No personal data beyond the license key is transmitted during this process.
3.3 Update Checks
The Software periodically checks for updates by requesting version information from our server. This request contains only the current app version and your operating system. No personal data is transmitted.
4. Website
4.1 Hosting
Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process IP addresses and request metadata as part of their service. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
4.2 Purchase Data
When you purchase a license, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive your email address and payment confirmation from Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or other payment details. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
4.3 Email Communication
We use Resend to send transactional emails (license key delivery, license recovery). Your email address is processed solely for this purpose. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
4.4 Cookies and Analytics
Our website does not use cookies.
We use Plausible Analytics for anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (page views, referrers, device type). Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track users across websites. It is operated by Plausible Insights OÜ (Tallinn, Estonia, EU). Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). See Plausible's Data Policy.
5. Legal Basis (GDPR Art. 6)
- Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): Processing your email and license data is necessary to fulfill the purchase contract and deliver the product.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): License validation, update checks, and anonymous website analytics are necessary to provide and maintain the Software.
6. Data Retention
- License data: Retained for the duration of the license and for the statutory retention period thereafter (typically 10 years for commercial records under German law).
- Email addresses: Retained as long as the license is active, plus the statutory retention period.
- Payment records: Retained by Stripe according to their data retention policies and applicable legal requirements.
